Hello, I’m Sabrina Vonderhaar, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and International Alcohol and Drug Counselor (IADC).
At Sabrina Vonderhaar Counseling LLC, I provide 100% online, secure telehealth services for adults and couples who are physically located in Iowa.
My practice is dedicated to helping adults and couples navigate challenges with Addiction (both substance and behavioral) and Anger Management. I work with individuals seeking practical, evidence-based tools, as well as couples who find these issues are a primary source of conflict in their relationship.
My Approach
My therapeutic philosophy is professional, direct, and non-judgmental. I believe in active collaboration—you are the expert on your life, and I am your guide with the clinical tools.
Together, we will set practical, achievable goals. My approach is evidence-based, meaning I use proven, goal-oriented techniques drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Techniques to create a plan that fits you.
My Services
I offer specialized services for adults and couples, all provided via secure telehealth:
- Individual Therapy: For adults working through challenges with substance use, behavioral addictions (such as porn or gambling), or anger management.
- Couples Therapy: For couples where addiction or anger has become a central source of conflict and relationship distress.
- Clinical Evaluations: I provide professional Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Evaluations and Anger Management Evaluations.
- Other Services: I also offer Emotional Support Animal (ESA) Letters and can prepare reports/letters related to my evaluation services.
Financials & Logistics
My practice is private pay only. I do not accept insurance and do not communicate with insurance companies for any reason. This allows us to focus entirely on your care, free from insurance-based limitations or mandates.
If you have out-of-network (OON) benefits, I can provide you with a Superbill (a detailed receipt for services) that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement.
