About Molly Downs-Stoller

Over 20 years of experience in mental health

Molly Downs-Stoller, LMFT, brings more than two decades of experience to their work as a therapist and coach. After earning their bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Point Loma Nazarene University, Molly spent a decade working with individuals facing homelessness, addiction, and severe mental illness. They saw firsthand that transformation often began when people engaged in therapy—when they explored their past, fears, and traumas with guidance and support. That realization inspired them to pursue a Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of San Diego.

What you can expect in our work together

Molly creates a safe, nonjudgmental space for adults navigating anxiety, depression, grief, loss, unresolved shame, or the stress of major life decisions. They specialize in individual therapy with a focus on compassion, curiosity, and practical tools for healing. In addition to their clinical work, Molly has supported children and adolescents in crisis at an inpatient psychiatric hospital and provided intervention for clients experiencing acute mental health challenges.

How I support healing

Molly is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Level 2 Internal Family Systems (IFS). They blend these evidence-based methods with a warm, supportive approach, helping clients uncover and shift the patterns that keep them stuck. Whether through therapy in California or life coaching for clients outside the state, Molly supports people in cultivating calmer, more creative, and more compassionate lives.

A little about me

Molly offers 100% virtual sessions for adult individuals, meeting clients wherever they are in their journey. They describe therapy as both vulnerable and deeply transformative, and they feel honored to walk alongside people as they move through hardship toward healing. Outside of their professional work, Molly brings compassion, curiosity, and an open heart to every interaction, reminding clients that they don’t have to face life’s challenges alone.
