Evidence-based, LGBTQ+ affirming therapy
Dr. Kerry McBroome began her training in New York City, earning a BA in Psychology from Pace University before teaching English in Malaysia as a Fulbright Scholar. She went on to complete her doctorate at the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium, where her dissertation focused on developing an LGBTQ+ affirmative family therapy program.
What you can expect in our work together
Kerry specializes in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), first training as a practicum student at Stanford University before completing postdoctoral work at the Chicago DBT Institute, a Linehan-certified comprehensive DBT program. She now brings this expertise to her private practice, offering clients concrete skills, emotional support, and affirming care.
How I support healing
Through Full Focus Therapy, Kerry provides trauma-informed, skills-based therapy designed to support LGBTQ+ clients in navigating life’s challenges without shame or judgment. Her approach blends DBT with affirming, relational care to help clients reduce distress, improve relationships, and build self-compassion.
A little about me
