Queer sex therapy, trauma healing, and shame-free support
Keely C. Helmick (they/them) is the owner and Clinical Director of Connective Therapy Collective in Portland, Oregon. A Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Sex Therapist, Keely specializes in supporting LGBTQIA2S+, gender-diverse, kinky, and non-monogamous communities. Their practice lens is intersectional, anti-oppressive, and decolonization-oriented, creating space for sex-positive, trauma-informed, and shame-free healing.
What you can expect in our work together
In therapy with Keely, clients can expect a compassionate, non-judgmental space where conversations about sex, gender, and relationships are welcomed without shame. Whether working individually or in relationships, Keely helps clients explore identity, sexuality, non-monogamy, and polyamory, while also addressing the impact of trauma, misinformation, or systemic barriers to sexual health.
How I support healing
Keely draws from over 12 years of experience working with diverse clients to address personal and sexual concerns in affirming ways. Their approach integrates EMDR, trauma-informed care, and sex therapy practices to help clients heal from trauma, reconnect with their bodies, and move toward pleasure-based, holistic support. Keely also supervises Licensed Professional Counselors and Marriage and Family Therapists, contributing to community growth and mentorship.
A little about me
Keely identifies as a White, able-bodied, queer, gender-fluid, non-binary femme. These lived identities shape their perspective and commitment to creating a practice rooted in authenticity, inclusion, and systemic change. Keely earned their graduate degree from Lewis & Clark College and maintains certification through both the state of Oregon and the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT).
