Healing that breaks cycles
Hi, I’m Catherine Rincon. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida, an Afro-Caribbean woman, and above all, a human—just like you. More than my credentials, I offer care, perspective, and space for healing. I support those who feel alone in their pain, guiding them toward clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.
What you can expect in our work together
I believe therapy should feel like a real conversation, not a lecture. My style is person-centered and trauma-focused, blending Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic work, and trauma-informed techniques. Clients can expect warmth, compassion, and honesty—I listen deeply, challenge when needed, and create space for growth.
How I support healing
I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, and cultural identity struggles. My work also includes crisis intervention, attachment healing, postpartum support, and affirming care for LGBTQIA+ clients, as well as polyamorous, non-monogamous, and kink communities. My philosophy is simple: healing starts with recognizing that worth is already yours, and therapy is a way to reclaim peace and presence.
A little about me
I grew up in a Dominican household where resilience and sacrifice were everyday values, but therapy helped me unlearn the perfectionism and pressure that came with them. That personal journey shapes the way I show up for clients today. Outside of therapy, I love art, music, baseball, video games, and meaningful conversations. Most importantly, I bring humanity and authenticity into the therapy room, making it a space where healing feels real and possible.
