About Carly Shaul

I’m happy you’re here

I’m happy you’re here. The most valuable piece of healing in therapy is our relationship—it’s important you feel comfortable expressing yourself, giving feedback, and building connection. That’s why I offer a free 15-minute consultation before starting sessions, so you can decide if this feels like the right match.

What you can expect in our work together

I know what it’s like to grow up feeling unheard, disconnected, or unsure how to voice your needs. In our work, we’ll create space to talk through pain and worries, let go of what you’ve been holding inside, and practice embracing your authentic self. Therapy with me can be serious and deep, but it can also include creativity, joy, and silliness. Together we’ll balance both.

How I support healing

My approach integrates EMDR, Gottman Therapy, and training in sex therapy with a foundation of warmth, care, and curiosity. I share knowledge and resources when helpful, and I’m committed to creating a grounded space where all parts of you—serious, playful, or tender—are welcome.

A little about me

I grew up as a quiet, bisexual, neurodivergent kid who didn’t always know how to cope with big feelings. My own therapy helped me reconnect with my emotions, reduce burnout, and build self-confidence. Today, I use both my lived experience and my training as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to support others on their journey toward healing and growth.

The most valuable part of healing is our relationship, which is why I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re the right fit.
