Dr. Haviva Malina, a licensed Emergency Medicine physician with over 15 years of ER experience, became a proponent of ketamine therapy after witnessing its transformative effects on patients with treatment resistant depression, anxiety, PTSD and other mood disorders. She graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Barnard College of Columbia University and earned her medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, completing her residency training at the combined Jacobi/ Montefiore EM Program. Dr. Malina later moved to her role as an attending physician at Hoboken University Medical Center, New Jersey.

Dr. Malina’s interest in ketamine therapy was spurred by her experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic, where she observed an increase in acute psychiatric cases and recognized the urgent need for more effective treatments. Motivated by the need for effective mood disorder treatments, she founded Keta Medical Center. Dr. Malina champions the benefits of ketamine and its ability to provide substantial improvements in patients’ functionality and well-being. At her clinic, she ensures a supportive environment, collaborates on comprehensive treatment plans, and advocates for better access to therapies like Spravato.

Dr. Malina is deeply committed to patient safety, personalized care, and holistic treatment. She finds great satisfaction in the positive transformations she witnesses in her patients, valuing the continuous care and strong relationships she builds with them. Through her work at Keta Medical Center, Dr. Malina continues to advance mental health care, offering hope and healing to those battling mood disorders.
